Good Atc Replacement?

Featured Replies

I've been looking for a good ATC replacement that works well with My Traffic Live. I've been looking at Radar Contact, PFE, and Pro ATC. However, I'm undecided on which to get. Can someone help me out please. Like I previously said, I would to find an ATC addon that can work well with My Traffic Live, have different ascent in different regions of the world, and that it can work well with my PMDG 777, 747, and 737NGX.

Regards, JJ

There are several threads discussing all three add ons you mentioned in the fsx forums.

Since this is RC's forum, I will only talk about it.

It is very good add on and it does work with planes you mentioned. It has one of the best support in the community. I don't know about My Live Traffic since I have never used it.

I've used Radar Contact since version 2 and it still tops all other canned ATC.  I would buy it religiously as new versions were released.

It just works every time with minimal hassle.

But this is all biased as NAM1394 said due to this being the RC forums.

Here's a test you can run without cost:

Download the latest full and interim version of fsuipc4 and install:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/

Next download Traffic Look:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/

and install it in any folder you wish preferably not under Program Files. Create a convenient shortcut to it on your desktop..

Start FSX and park an aircraft at a busy airport at a busy time. Start My Traffic Live.

Be sure in FS settings pause on task switch is disabled.

Alt-tab to where you placed the shortcut to Traffic Look and start it. It runs in its own window. It displays in a grid the status of ai present whether sleeping, taxiing, landing, approaching, etc. plus destination with assigned runways (if timely).

If ai are recognized there, then RC should see them.

Here's their coverage:

If you are not registered yet with simmarket do so so you can read the My Traffic Live FAQ:

http://forum.simflight.com/forum/135-faq/

So for testing with traffic look be sure you choose an appropriate time and location where traffic is present.
