Ther is no such box in PF3, there is in PFE(the older) program though. So, I think you were given the wrong advice. As for not hearing AI chatter, it is strange. There must be something preventing it from happening. My advice is to wait until you get an answer from the developer. They usually ask you to send a log to figure out the problem.

From personal experience, you need to run the indexer everytime you modify fsx, whether it is scenery or new aircraft even if you change the flight number or airline callsign from the aircraft selection menu. Also, run it after you change voxatc joystick setup, voice recognition or traffic density.

When you install my traffic, it adds a line in the cfg that shows which directory it located. Vox will read that line and will know ehre to find it.

Jeroen, I think VOXATC is what you are looking for it uses navdata and you don't have to talk, you can have the FO do it for you.

VOXATC does control traffic but it is far from perfect in doing so. At some airports, traffic would sit on the runway and wouldn't takeoff until it disappear and it won't use more than one runway at an airport. Also, on approach its idea of seperating traffic is by having planes infront of you disappear.

I know it does. That's why when you use the default ATC, will see traffic parked at the airport but with VOXATC, you won't. It is VOXATC's fault. It sees planes too big for parking size, but default atc doesn't.

I think VOXATC looks at planes size relative to parking size different from deafault atc. VOXATC will consider a plane too big for a parking as oppose to default atc especially with addon airports. I have flytampa omdb and with VOXATC, i don't see any a380s parked at all unlike the default atc. Also, when i am flying the dash-8 or Aerosft A320, VOXATC will always assign me heavy gates after landing.

go to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Internal Workings\VoxATC X look for VAsettings. open it with notepad and look for (TransitionAltitude Value="3500") amd change 3500 to whatever altitude you want.

I just discovered that we can change the standard transition altitude to whatever we want. So, I changed it for Europe to 6000 instead of the default 3500 and tested it and it worked. I just thought I would share it with you guys in case some of you didn't know. Cheers

It means that your flight plan must start with a SID waypoint and end with a STAR waypoint. To do that you should create flight plans with planners like PFPX(payware) or Vroutes(freeware).

You don't have to talk. You set up a shortcut key to activate the FO. When you enable VOXATC just before the flight hit the key and the FO will switch to ATIS and will listen for a while then the FO will switch to clearence. When you decide you are ready for clearence, you press the assigned PTT button without holding and the FO will contact clearence and then acknowledge. You do the same for ground, tower and so on. You can also hit 0 to display the menue options and selecting one will get the FO to say it.

Yes, you can have the FO handle comm from start to finish(except for requesting a different cruise altitude). You still have to have a headset and a microphone connected and configured.

You can only request a different runway after contacting approach. So I am afraid it is not possible.

Have you tried to ask for a different SID at clearence then ask for a runway? I am gonna try it later today and see.
