Weather Percipation Colour Problem On Nav Display

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm currently enroute to KDFW with B77L but have noticed a difference within the colour of percipation on both ND displays.

On the Captain ND the red areas are showing up pink but on the FO ND they show up red as there supposed to, I think I've noticed this within 773 but the weather radar is working fine apart from that little minor issue.

I have taken a few shots

I hope these imagines are ok and not to big and can show the slight problem between Captain & First Officers ND display

Thanks

This display issue you describe is normal. Only the Captain gets pink for Turbulence.

Rick,

Thanks for that, I wasn't aware of that I can ignore that then. So how come it's the Captain gets pink but FO gets the red?

Thanks once again

Turbulence shows up as a pink area on the display when you select WX+T mode, but not when you select WX mode.

You can select WX+T on the Captain's side and/or the FO's side if you wish.

WX+T is selected in the Pedestal, if I am correct, even if WX+t is selected, the F/O doesn't get Turbulence displayed on his side.

Pink is for Turbulence, Red is severe precipitation, I believe. Captain gets Red and Pink.

I have verified that WX+T displays turbulence on both sides if selected. Both sides have their own set of mode selector buttons and can be selected independently.

My bad, thousand apologies. I totally missed that. I just went over the manuals and still missed it. Thanks for pointing that out. I either heard on this forum or read somewhere that WX+T only worked on Captain's Display, I stand corrected.
