Looking For List Of Obsolete Airport Icao Codes In Fsx

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a list of airport ICAO codes in FSX that have been replaced in the real world since FSX was originally published, and their respective updated ICAO codes in the real world.  For example:

FSX ICAO - Updated

ORBS - ORBI

VTBD - VTBS

I'm sure there are others.  I've unsuccessfully searched this forum and elsewhere on the Internet.

Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K ||  32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO

Because nobody has the time to cross reference 23000 airports.

That reminds me of like 5 days ago where I *unsuccessfully* tried to land in Bangkok. I was 3nm out on a flight from Dubai, and the airport was nowhere to be found. Then I realized I had never installed a VTBS AFCAD :)

There a website that dedicated to remembering old airfields. In USA find out lots of them old airfield owners like farmers soldout when offered lots of $$$ by developers. In FSX some of those airfields don't exist anymore when you look at sky vector.

South Africa-

Johannesburg FAJS became FAOR (political reasons, new government feels compelled to rename absolutely everything) Oliver Tambo International.

Durban FADN - a perfectly good airport relocated 20 miles up the coast and given FALE. Given the name of a murderous thug that lived in the late 1700's- King Shaka.

... for what it s worth.
