Blurries , But Only In East Asia

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

I upgraded my 560ti to a new 6gb gtx 780 a month ago . I deleted my fsx.cfg , NVI settings and even my BIOS settings . so i pretty much started from scratch . After getting my system tweaked for fsx I started flying and im happy with the performance im getting from my new GPU . but i noticed last week that when i fly in east asia or southeast asia I get blurrrries ( btw i rarely fly in east asia so this problem may have also been there when i had my old GPU but i didnt notice it cause as i said i rarely fly in east asia ) . Anyway so i started to change my TBM but no difference . then i changed my texture resolution to the lowest in fsx and to my surprise it was ugly  :P . so i cranked it up again to the max and voila the ground textures aren't blurry anymore (this method will only work in-flight) . so i reached to a conclusion that every time i want to fly in east asia i have to lower my texture resolution in fsx then crank it up again to the max in-flight . which isn't practical at all

of course all the blurry pictures you see are without the method i used in-flight which is quite a hassle . I would appreciate any help cheers  ^_^

My Cpu is a i5 3570k @ 4.4 GHZ and a EVGA gtx 780 6GB

I'm sorry you don't get any reaction to your posts. Nobody probably knows how to solve this or what's going on. I know I don't.

Good luck with finding your sollution.

You're missing the fftf entry in your fsx.cfg

FFTF – Fiber Frame Time Fraction

Do this:

[Main]

FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.33

See if it cures your problem.

Hi . lol its ok . in the MS FSX forum you need to keep posting something so that the topic appears in the first page cause there's alot more important topics than the typical blurries issue

Hello , FFTF=0.33 didn't do the trick . i dont think its a problem with my tweaking . cause if it was then the blurries would have appeared in every continent but in my situation its appearing ONLY in east asia .

Here's a little known fact that might interest you.

That setting is a hidden cfg value that exists by default even if its not listed in your fsx.cfg. No need to add it unless you want to change it to a value other than .33.

Hopefully someone else can let me know if FTX global is the reason behind this . cause i really dont want to go through the hassle of uninstalling FTX global and restoring fsx textures and then find out that it wasn't causing the problem .

Ok everyone , instead of uninstalling FTXG I uninstalled FSX completely . Cause I had a feeling that my GPU could do much more but fsx was preventing it to do so . so i thought that uninstalling FSX could help me in getting better performance . so after i reinstalled FSX and FTXG i didn't get anyyy blurries whatsoever .

Cheers
