no wind direction and wind speed

Recommended Posts

hey guys after the sp1b update did you notice everytime you request wind data there is no wind direction and wind speed?

My first thought would be a bad format in the WX file.  If the fix names in the file don't match the fix names in the flight plan, you're going to get blank data.

Winds were fine for me yesterday with the sp1b. However, after landing no brakes. No failure shown in the FMC and all pressures were good.

Rich:

Are you saying you don't get the wind direction and wind speed display on the panel - despite having wind, or you don't get any wind at all.

I also notice the wind arrow/speed in upper left hand corner of the main display is not there some times.

See Kyle's post above, did you check the format of the wx file?  The introduction document has enough information to get you going in the right direction, see pg 0.00.166

LOL you're kidding me, right? Pulling my finger to see what sound I make?

Please look on page 0.00.166 in the Introduction document. It tells you where to find the file, and the name of a readme file to help you decode the text in the file.
