Traffic Toolbox explore defaulting to tray!

Featured Replies

Hi; I've a problem with Traffic Toolbox explore function, when I click on it to defaults to the system tray and I cant get it to display on the main screen of Fs9. I am using Windows 7 Professional as my O/S and I've run the program as an administrator. Has anyone got any ideas on how to make the explore function work properly? Thanks in advance.  Robin

TTE will not show in Full Screen Mode, gotta use Windowed Mode.

Other than that, I have no idea. I have used TTE in Win7 for a while now, so I know it works.

regards,

Joe

I don't use it but have you tried alt-tab to view it?

Another alternative is to use Traffic Look freeware from the fsuipc developer. You will not need to register fsuipc to use it.

Download fsuipc3 (for FS9) latest version and any interim update from here:

Download Traffic Look from:

Traffic Look runs in its own window. You can alt-tab to get to get to it, run FS windowed, etc. I have a second monitor so I drag it there.

It shows the status of ai present in the range area of fsuipc including parked and active, assigned runways, etc., in a table display. There is no ai control as it is just a monitoring app useful for checking in FS time ai flight plans, etc. Check its readme for special functions as parameters to start it up.

If you use the alt-tab procedure be sure to check in FS settings that pause on task switch is disabled.

A recent change for installing fsuipc is to right click on the installer and select run as admin, usually not necessary but apparently MS has added more protection yet to installing apps that communicate with another app in the Program Files hierarchy. FSUIPC's installer does elevate itself to application admin level but something has changed.

If you already use fsuipc for another app, than just install Traffic Look in any folder of your choice.
