October 9, 201411 yr hey guys, so I installed the LEVELD 767 and it kept crashing my FSX upon start up. Then I uninstalled it and it is still crashing my FSX. I cleaned the registry and manually removed all residue files. Any solutions to this? The FSX starts up. The free flight page opens up. And exactly 5 sec later it crashes. I really dont wanna reinstall it cause I can't find my original FSX DVDS. Thanks in Advance Chirag

October 9, 201411 yr The answer you want is in the LevelD forum. You must be a registered user. You need to recreate your xml file, then clear modules from cfg, then confirm all modules. Go into cfg and remove all the module entries. Then add them by confirming when FSX is restarted. MSFS

October 10, 201411 yr You don't have LevelD installed anymore. You state you got rid of it and cleaned out the residue in your registry. So, the problem is not the LevelD. If you are having problems with the LevelD, you should go to the LevelD forums and seek assistance. We do not provide support for LevelD or for products you did not purchase. If you own the product, then you should be able to find the answer to your question on the LevelD website for registered users. For the crashes at startup of FSX, make sure you have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 w/SP1 installed (see AVSIM CTD Guide for proper versions or how to tell whether it is installed or not. The guide can be found at the right of this forum under Hot Spots). Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! October 11, 201411 yr Author No. Its not a problem with LEVEL-D. I have the same installation of FSX on my computer for over a year now. Its loaded with addons and all and until installed LEVELD I had no issues at all. FSX worked as smooth as ever. What is the faulting module in the Event Viewer? This should help in finding out what's causing your crashes. How do I go to the event viewer? Got it working again! Deleted the FSX.cfg file and dll.xml and it works fine! Thanks for all the help guys!
