Sudden unstable FPS

I've been using FSX on my 1 year old custom PC without any problems until last night. I did not install any scenery / aircraft, nor did I put in an ENB. FSX went from a constant 27 - 32 FPS in Virtual Cockpit mode to 6 - 11 FPS all of a sudden. Adding on to that, for a few seconds, it jumps to 30FPS, then back down to 6. I updated my NVIDIA drivers, rebooted my PC, uninstalled the FSDreamteam sceneries, and am just left with addon aircraft and Shade.

Trouble is - a week ago, I ran FSDreamteam CYVR and I did a flight with the Aerosoft A319 with full 36FPS in the virtual cockpit. I can't seem to understand why my FPS would drop so significantly. If it dropped from 36 to 26, I can understand that. But 36 to 6? I can't even do a manual approach with it anymore - the FPS is so low I can't align properly.

Any idea as to why this is happening?

Update: The FPS now gets stuck at 9. Is there anything I can besides uninstalling FSX? P3D seems to work fine, giving me a stunning 75 FPS

Update 2: I found the cause -

Active Sky Next SP1 and the Aerosoft Airbus A319 has a FPS issue. HiFi has done something that makes the built in WXR on the A319 cut my FPS in half. A simple uninstall of ASN SP1 and reinstall of V1.0 of ASN solves this problem.

If anyone has this issue - the above steps work for me.
