will these programmes stop many crashes or prevent it?

More than likely they cause the crashes that you then need to go poking around on dodgy websites for fixes. They know since you run FSX you are probably have been recommended incorrect permissions and running with UAC off or as Admin and they can install whatever malware they like.

Tweakbit is nothing dodgy it has good reviews. Jim himself uses similar programmes so thats goos for me :)

The one i got is a good piece of software alot of reviews and its got something to do with microsoft. My fault if it is dodgy lol

 

Like jim said my crash could be down to outdated drivers and i did run the driver updater with it and i had a few outdated. Performed an update on the old ones so fingers crossed steve :)

Yes, my comment is just a warning that there's stuff out there to get us. A friend recently got the crypto virus, fortunately he had also put McAfee on a few weeks before and that cleaned it before any damage done.
