October 23, 201411 yr Commercial Member The same theory applies for the VC view. If you've got one of the difficult planes, then you'll most likely get some instruments look crumpled, and need to apply SGSSAA. Later... What you mean by instruments looking "crumpled"? I have my P3D setup with WideViewAspect=True and zoom of 1.0 Even with NO MSAA/SSAA, my instruments look sharp and clear at that zoom setting. October 23, 201411 yr Commercial Member If you are AviatorBimmer you won't need SGSS, but if you're currently using the Carenado B1900D on P3Dv2, then SGSS is a requirement, or if you are using FSX DX10. I'm using SGSS and 1.5xDSR, best view of the B1900D since DSR. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

By using a zoom of 1.0 with WideViewAspect=1, my instruments look extremely sharp, so no need for SGSS. Good thing is that I can get away with just MSAA/SSAA within the prepar3d.cfg and my performance is outstanding. Heck, I am now running MSAA 8/SSAA 8 and the IQ is as good as DSR 4x/33% without the performance hit! Win win for me. :-) Now that my IQ is all set, it's time for me to move on to MSE and photoreal scenery. Being that I only fly commercial airliner flights, I have no need for autogen. October 25, 201411 yr I've posted this link elsewhere. All you need to get up to speed Dave! More about using NI for DX9, DX10, and DX11 here Steve can you post or add your in game (P3D Menu Settings) that you use in conjunction with the NI settings you posted in the link above? I like what I am seeing using your NI Settings and would like to try to mirror your in game settings as well. RE Thomason Jr.
October 26, 201411 yr Commercial Member Well I'm very pleased to hear that you've got some good visuals. I would love to get into the settings used in the P3D menus but it so varies with different PC's, what suits one does not suit another, and I appear to be changing them quite a bit as I'm still more experimenting with it so far. Apart from those settings I mentioned in the link, setting MSAA and Filtering on in P3D, it's best to experiment with the others. If it helps I've been avoiding shadows and high autogen settings as these seem to bring down the performance quite a bit. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
