November 14, 201411 yr The other day someone showed me a very cool app which will allow you to transform your iPad or Android tablet into a fully working FMC which will connect to the FMC in the NGX with help from a small client installed on your FSX computer. You could of course also install the app on your smartphone although it might be a bit tiny. There's a free demo available which will let you try it out at a couple of airports. To be able to use it everywhere you need to buy the full version. The price is a bit steep but IMO totally worth it looking at what it does for your flying experience. You can read all about the app here http://www.virtualavionics.com.br/
November 15, 201411 yr Has been mentioned before its been on the market since mid 2013. Has been talked about many times. Great App well worth the money in my opinion. Stephen Asus Z170 Deluxe, 32 GB DDR4 Dominator Platinum, i7 6700k mild overclock, GTX Titan ( Pascal ) Win10
November 15, 201411 yr I wonder if they offer discounts if you buy more than one cuz I'd like this for my 777,737,and A320. They also have a great looking psyical MCP for sale for $599 ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
November 15, 201411 yr Author Sorry for bringing old news. Anyway I've tried this on a couple of flights now and this is definitely one of the best investments I did for the NGX to date. To be able to physically interact with the FMC although via a touch-screen is nothing short of amazing and for anyone who didn't already try this I highly suggest you do!! Can't help smiling to myself how you always manage to find something new that makes flying the NGX just a little bit more realistic. Guess it's part of the nature being a FS nerd
November 16, 201411 yr Why is it whenever I see an addon MCP for the 737, the digits are always slanted. They aren't on the real thing. Just wondering
November 16, 201411 yr Sure, I've been using this for about a year now and you're right, it is fantastic. November 16, 201411 yr Author Speaking of physically interacting with the NGX and my happiness over this app I can only imagine how cool it must be to have a more or less complete flight deck with MCP, center pedestal, overhead panel etc. I hope I'll one day have the space, money and time to build my own home cockpit!
