Oh, please how many threads already started on the subject ... plus this whole Al Jazeera 'report' has been discredited already.

Sorry for ruining your evening. Next time, I'll consult with you first.

AVSIM has millions of posts, so it's safe to say that just about anything related to aviation and flightsimming has been covered one way or another. Doesn't mean let's go ahead and close shop because there is nothing left to talk about. If you have nothing else to contribute to a thread or topic, then simply ignore it.

Now airing on Al Jazeera America.... Pretty interesting...

Indeed, I just saw it on YouTube. There connecting dots pretty wide apart.

However I am surprised that there are no in rules in U.S. to prevent regulators from joining the industry after retirement. That's asking for trouble.

That will always be a loose end. A poloitiican is elected by the the people, in all their wisdom, without any requirement for professional qualifications. People trust politicians, again in all their wisdom, to make the right calls.

An employee on the other hand, is supposed to be there because he is professionally qualified to do the job. His professional judgement should not be allowed to affected by these aspects.

No more so than politicians joining lobbyiest groups after retiring?

This has lead to  many of the problems in Congress. It used to be called bribery.
