Migrating to DX10 with the DX10 Fixer

Featured Replies

Folks,

I've been reading about DX10 and how it may help solve OOM issues. I plan to purchase the DX10 Fixer, but would like to know if the software is a one-step tool, or if I will need to make ano other changes to my FSX.CFG file, Nvidia Inspector, etc...

I have the FS Guide to DX10, but it seems to be more aligned to folks that are not using the fixer.

I'm grateful for any advice.

Cheers!

AFAIK there's nothing that needs to be changed DX10 wise. The Fixer is very much straight forward.

the fixer is brilliant,i have used it, from the day it came out.

This page has links to a slightly out of data version users' manual of the Fixer program, and a comprehensive DX10 guide: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?88271-DX10-quot-How-to-quot-Guide-a-new-home!

The fixer can be used as a single step sort of thing, though its true power is the level of DX10 effects tuning it provides, and its fixing of add ons, both of which you must learn and spend some time on to use, depending on your needs.  The fixer manual talks to all of these features; though the link is a bit out of date, overall it's still very accurate.
