Bitmaps don't cover my screen area

Featured Replies

I've noticed a strange problem ever since I got my new system - in fs9 the panel bitmaps do not fully occupy the fs window area, there's always a border all around the panel bitmap like just a fraction of a millimeter in width. This happens with all panels. It's particularly visible in non-forward views, like forward left, rear right etc. - I can see the outside fs scenery around the edges.I've changed drivers, screen res, fullscreen, windowed mode - all to no avail. I can adjust my lcd monitor image in any direction and that side is ok, but the other 3 are stll out.I know the bitmaps are ok - I've used the same ones on various systems with fs9 before and never noticed this. Can anyone help?regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

I've had this the whole time I've had FS2004. I just learned to ignore it.J

You can try to make the outside window Window00 smaller, there are already a few postings about that topic, try a search in the forum.Doesn't occur with all aircraft, I try to live with it (has to do with the anti-aliasing of my graphics adapter).Andreas

Andreas, I know i can make a panel.cfg adjustment for the default window size for front view, but not the other internal views which are fullscreen by default as far as I know. I'll search again anyhow - thanks again, appreciate the response :).regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

It's how developers design their panels. If they'd use an empty Window00 and put all panels in subsequent windows as overlays, it would be the easiest to adjust the default view and have all other panels corretly displayed.Unfortunately there are no such design proposals, so each panel is a little different and exposes other problems on my PC. I didn't try to re-write the panels, maybe I'll do that one day when I have a surplus of time ;-)Andreas

I've not found a way to adjust the "other" views, but for the front view, I've changed pretty much every panel.cfg file from Default ViewX=0Y=0SIZE_X=8191SIZE_Y=nnnntoX=5 // added 5Y=0SIZE_X=8181 // subtracted 10SIZE_Y=nnnn
