I know this isn't exactly VATSIM, but it is closely related.

 

Vataware returned yesterday like it had said it would. Is this all that Vataware will offer now? I'm not exactly thrilled about this new Vataware, it only offers a live map and flights on the server. What happened to being able to look at pilot profiles to see how much time they have spent in certain aircraft and a log of all their flights? That is the feature I liked about the old Vataware the most; if I want to see flights that are happening on the server I'll just look at VatSpy. I've tried finding an alternative to Vataware but haven't found one, anyone else have any luck?

The new Vataware seems pretty poor, not sure what was wrong with the original, certainly had much more functionality.   Vatstats seems pretty good but it does not go back to the beginning of your time on Vatsim and the stats.vatsim.net site is great for total hours but good luck getting a breakdown of aircraft & routes flown, etc.

Thanks, I knew there was another one out there that I had seen and I couldn't think of the name. I have been using the stats page on the VATSIM website as an alternative for filing PIREPs for one of my VAs but it doesn't offer as much flight info as Vataware used to. Plus what Mark said, no breakdown on aircraft, airline, routes flown, and all the other fancy stats I like to look at.

 

Guess I better get working on skewing the stats on Vatstats, don't want people thinking I fly those scarebuses often,  .

 

EDIT: I will say the one thing I'm not liking about Vatstats is that is even keeps a log of the flights I didn't complete which is bad because I am having issues with my PC and get frequent game crashes, especially on longer flights.

Very true. It happened to me also but in seldom times. When that do accur, just restart and respawn at your ARRIVAL airfield and wait for a minute or two then log off. It will state completed for that certain flight.

Hopefully it gets better in time and they put up this bare bones version to make their self-imposed deadline. It would be nice if some information on their intentions were posted on the site!
