December 26, 201411 yr I have the PSS A319, A320, and A321 aircraft still flying in FS9. I really almost always use the ifdg versions aliased to the PSS panels. I also have the PSS A330 and A430, but without the ifdg addons.. The throttles were originally controlled in these birds by keyboard commands for five positions or gates (i.e. Rev, Idle, Cl. FSXMCT, and TO/GA). The number keyboard "-" and "+" keys stepped through these gates. Somewhere long ago, I lost this function and have just used my yoke throttle in the same way I would if the birds were Boeings. I am curious as to why this changed though. I don't know if it is relative to newer operating systems (Win7) or something else. Does anyone else still have these birds and know anything about this issue? Thanks: RTH
December 27, 201411 yr I use the PSS A320 family using W7 and FS9 and the Numpad + and - still work for me. Must be something else that has changed your commands. Dave
December 30, 201411 yr Author Thanks folks: DJ, I replied on flightsim.com after trying your suggestion. So far I am still apparently doing something wrong. RTH
December 30, 201411 yr Did you look in the configuration utility to see if those functions are actually assigned?
December 31, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the reply Kevin: On the FlightSim Forum, DJ was kind enough to point out my mistake. Somewhere along the line I lost, or failed to copy all of the content in my A3XX folder. I found an old CD in my backup archives that included everything, and when edited to include the missing content, the gates work now. Unfortunately, my versions of all of the PSS birds are first generation which were supplied before PSS went out of business. Therefore any attempt to reinstall results in an error message telling me that this capability is no longer available. Fortunately, I do have total backups archived as the years progressed and simply copying all of the PSS content works after I do upgrades to either hardware or FS versions. Somehow, either the content was deleted, or I failed to copy all of it the last time I did this. The only thing that did not work properly were the throttle gates. Thankfully conventional throttle control worked. Now I also have the gates recovered. Happy Flying: RTH
