OK, I stand corrected... Although the PC12 at the FS2X site is exactly this model found here at AVSIM, as well as www.alliedfsgroup.com: afg_pc12_basepack.zip... but apparently comes with an entirely new panel and gauge package. The (still) freeware release has a panel/gauge package by David Durst, which is the one with the VC limitation...I also must make note that my friends and colleagues Nick Pike & Don Kuhn have created the new gauges & avionics package, which I'm certain are much improved over the "freeware" package. At only $16, this is a "steal!" ;)That being the case, then any of the many liveries already available for the freeware AFG release should drop right in place for you...

Thanks Bill,I didn't know that the model was freeware - but that is besides the point - what I really liked was the panel - so I'm still a happy customer - and if I can use the liveres already out there - I'm even happier :)Thanks for clearing this up.Cheers-Lars

You can use the freeware repaints for the one at FS2X. It is allmost the same exterior model as you can download from www.alliedfsgroup.com. Just did some minor visual corrections on Don

This looks like something I might want to add to my hangar.Does it come with a virtual cockpit/cabin?ricardo

I'm just wondering what the flight dynamics are like compared to the Flight1 PC-12. I have it and I love the flight dynamics, but it keeps crashing so is virtually unuseable. Thanks,Erik

I have it and I love the flight>dynamics, but it keeps crashing so is virtually unuseable.I can't speak for the new release (I haven't pulled out the CC yet!), but the AFG freeware release had excellent flight dynamics. It has long been one of my favorite a/c to "hand fly." ;)As Jacob mentioned though, David's panel & gauges - while excellent for their time - simply don't work very well at all in FS9, so I'm delighted to have found the new panel. As I said, for $16 it's a STEAL! ;) Yea!!!

Hi Jacob and all,Just wanted to let you know that the fs2x panel can be used in your AFG aircraft by simply exchanging the fs2x panel with the AFG panel. For the fs2x flight dynamics, simply 1)replace the aircraft.cfg and airfile from the AFG Pilatus with the corresponding files from the fs2x Pilatus, and 2)replace all of the entries in the fs2x aircraft.cfg before the [General] section with the corresponding entries from the AFG aircraft.cfg.Many hours were spent on the fs2x Pilatus flight dynamics and the associated gauge readouts. I hope you enjoy them!Cheers, donfs2x

Could someone who has both the Flight 1 PC12 and this one write up a quick comparison?ricardo

Oops!Somehow the 'general' got left out!The following line should read:2)replace all of the entries in the fs2x aircraft.cfg before the bracket-General-bracket section with the corresponding entries from the AFG aircraft.cfg.Thanks Bill and Lars for the encouraging words. This is an all XML panel and without the likes of Bill, and Arne, and Jan, and Karl, and others on the AVSIM forums, I never would have learned this backa--ward language. Thank You!donfs2x

Rurik,I think what is meant is that the freeware model was used as a base setup. The flight model has been tuned and some small alterations have been made to the model. What you are paying for is the new improved panel with all the new gauges. What Don has explaned is that it's very easy to take the AFG model and make the new panel work in that model.-Lars

Cheers

Thanks,One more question, I know it doesn't have a VC, but does the FS2x model have 2D dise views?
