I can not reinstall MFSX

Featured Replies

That is the first time I am having problem to install MSFSX. I have a new pc, I installed FSX-E and P3D on HD D:\

Then I tried to install  MSFSX on D:\ where FSX-E and P3D installed.

After I put first disk and  input the installation destination, CD started to turn but as soon as the following screen appears and application stopped there. I tired several time always stopping at same screen.

How can I  solve this problem?

Thanks

What is FSX-E?

Do you mean FSX-SE?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

No way,  I would expect MS FSX to install after FSX-SE is installed.

Bert's correct. You would need to install MS FSX before FSX-SE. Remember that FSX-SE installs in dual mode along with MS FSX and in this way uses different folders than MS FSX so that FSX can remain. If you install FSX-SE first then the MS FSX folders are used by FSX-SE, and prevent the correct installation thereafter of MS FSX.

Bert, thank you.

I think I made a mistake . I will uninstall FSX-SE and install MS FSX first.  I didn't want to install MS FSX,but  I did  have a installation problem with Majestic Q400 in P3D.. I thought Q400 needs MS FSX for P3D.

Update:

I removed  Steam soft ware from my PC and reinstalled MS FSX without any problem. Majestic Q400 working also.

Thanks for your advise.

Experienced the same with a reinstall, just wait for it to finish what it says it does, 10-15 min. maybe, weird.
