January 20, 201511 yr For what it's worth, I have a 4790k and a gtx780sc (not ti) and using gpu-z I've never seen it over 30% load on fsx whatever I throw at it.

Similar to my upgrade - with a 4790k, i went from a 660 TI to a 780 OC edition. Got a few extra frames, but the key thing for me was a massive improvement in smoothness.
