Featured Replies

Hello,

First of all I am sorry if by mistake I put my question here. My question is the following using PMDG 737/800_900 I prepared 2 flight plans the first LGAV-LGTS and the 2nd LGAV-LGRP in the first one the VNAV button is working and the flight goes perfectly also I can here the v1 v2 v2 callouts but in the second flight neither the Vnav button is working nor the callouts are heared. What am I doing wrong.

Thank you very much

Pericles Vlachos

After the first flight, did you shutdown FSX and restart?

Since you are no longer a new member, I'll move this to the FSX Forum.

Shouldn't this be in the PMDG forum?  He's asking specifically about VNAV in the NG...

Anyway, sv8bur, on the second flight did you fully program the FMS?  I think you'll need V speeds (v1, v2 etc) calculated to get VNAV working.

The op would probably get better answers in the PMDG forum. He used his full name in compliance with PMDG forum rules though, so looks like he's trying his best.

You're right though it must be something wrong with the flight plan in the FMS. VNAV needs to be able to account for the entire activated flight plan. Don't forget to activate the route after making any changes to the flight plan, and any changes to the active plan will delete v speeds. That includes runway changes, which also delete v speeds. Interestingly, enough real world airline pilots forget to recalculate v speeds after a runway change that the situation is covered in the Boeing FCOM. Pilots are instructed to use the previously calculated V2 speed entered into the autothrottle's speed window as the impromptu Vr.

Thank you very much for your answer and I am sorry for the wrong place that I put my question, I thing the problem was some activation I didn't make because during a flight I fly now the VNAV button was pressed after an activation I made rather accidentaly.

anyway thank you very much
