I want a co-pilot sitting beside me!!!

Featured Replies

This might yet be a stupid question, but other than being hard-modelled into the model, is there a way to put a "co-pilot" into the VC cabin? It tends to get veeeeeeery lonely up there in the air... Like I saw Eaglesoft putting in the virtual cabins some women passenger, so I'd like to have a co-pilot in the VC, preferrably female :-lol

Only possible in the model, and for a plane like a 767 that is extremely hard to design (if you want him/her to look good and act good), and I can know, I tried it for a 757, especially the movement of the arms are very hard.

I couldn't care less for hand movement. When looking right, it's just kinda weird to see an empty seat, especially cuz the model from outside shows two persons in the cockpit! :-)

True - but man it's even wierder to look right and see some undead character in the right seat - yikes! :-eek regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

A zombie in the right seat would be sufficient to drive me away from purchasing that aircraft. Carenado are the market leader when it comes to pilots/copilots in the exterior models and a strong competitor in VCs. Even they haven

Hmmmm, some payware aircraft I bought recently has a pretty decent copilot in the VC but I can't recall what it is (guess I buy a lot of payware!). Anyone know? Prior to this mystery product I enjoyed sharing Bill Lyon's Grumman Goose with a variety of characters, including the one-eyed dog.David

YES!! same here, nothing worse tha seeing a co or pass in the external view and they don't exist in the VC! (to bad I can't get the 421 passenger to show in the VC!!!) While it is a little harder to design a normal looking person in a 3D design tool, it's not impossible by far. If using 3DSMax, there is a plugin for character modeling that makes great looking people, plus I believe you can find royalty free people at design sites. To bad you can't export POSER 5 files into Gmax for FS, I love that program! LOLWith the PC power getting higher and higher, we really need some people in the VCs and in the airports and on the groud, dynamic and alive, would add so much to the FS world! That is the MAIN reason I love the georender Orcas scenery, animated people. Wish Richard would do more of this kind of design, rather than the terrain one is doing now IMORegards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

Little advise here: while simming pull up a chair and invite your loved one to join you in the virtual skies. There you go: a beautiful co-pilot there.Only thing is she'll probably get bored with this 'game of yours' and force you to quit it 'right now' and do something useful at last!!!Dom

I vote no 3d people in my plane...I havent seen a good one yet, and I'd prefer to not have a goofy-looking, cruddy 3d co pilot...

What about 'Lonny Paynes' co-pilot, he sits half on the seat and looking at you too!.............And its freewareHe gives you flaps, GPWS and gear instructions too,With all the payware I use I still get a buzz flying 'Lonny's' 757 panel.-------------------------------------------Dave T.

You can save the Poser model as a 3DS model and then import it into Gmax, or at least I could with Poser 4. The much bigger problem is that Poser uses an enormous number of polys to draw those characters, which is fine for them but not so good for an already complex FS aircraft. Also, I have yet to get the texturing right.thanks,
