February 4, 201511 yr Everytime I save a flight manually or with fsuipc autosave there is a long pause where the sim stops responding for a few seconds. My previous fsx install never did this, any idea of what is causing this? Sometimes when it pauses it doesn't recover and fsx stops responding altogether. February 6, 201511 yr Hi, Are you in the right forum? To my knowledge there is no way to save a flight manually without going into the screen where data about the flight is entered prior to returning to normal flight. Jim F.
February 7, 201511 yr Author I think i am in the right forum. After I save the flight the sim freezes for a few seconds. This also happens with fsuipc autosave, but it happens with a regular manual save also. February 7, 201511 yr Hi, I think I'm with you. There is a long pause after you click OK on the screen that comes up when you manually save the flight. I know nothing about your system but the only thing I can think of is drive access time. Perhaps you have FSX installed on a laptop on which the drive spins down to prolong battery life. Something times out? I doubt that even if I had more info I could think of anything else. If you do find a solution, please post. Jim F.
