[08FEB15] FSX:SE for PMDG 737NGX, J41, etc... also: DVD customer updates

Featured Replies

The update is for both FSX and FSX:SE version, and it will bring the weather radar and some fixes to both version. From what I understand there has been a lot of changes from 737 to the 777, making the weather radar harder to implement on the 737, there where even doubts as to if the 737 would get the weather radar at all. New features like that can brake codes, so they need time to fix it, and testing might give new bugs they need to sort out before release.

This is not just a FSX:SE compatibility update, it's also a FSX update as well.

Guys ("gents" being withheld until people can act a little more like "gents" again):

Please do not answer a question unless you know the answer, beyond at least a couple shadows of a doubt.

  1. We don't usually consider other developers' timeframes unless we are dependent upon them. The weather radar function works with the current version of ASN, so why would we wait?
  2. The weather radar wasn't so much a complex addition (that's why it's being added now in SP1d and not SP2) as much as the radar feature came out years after the NGX was released and adding the FSX:SE compatibility seemed like a good time to add that minor update in there.
  3. We haven't released the FSX:SE installer yet because we don't want to give you a buggy installer. When you add or change code, it has the possibility of causing issues for other pieces of the code. We're finding things and fixing them as we find them. We're not just sitting on an installer because we want to torment you, or [insert conspiracy theory here]. That would make no sense. FSX:SE is another stream of revenue. Why wait to tap into a new revenue stream?
  4. Do NOT troll. My trigger finger is getting itchy recently because of all of the junk I had to sift through last weekend.
  5. Always, always, always read the compatibility notes. If you have questions, ask before you buy. If you try it in the reverse, don't vent your anger and frustration here because it didn't work. Moreover, don't aim that frustration at fellow forum members. If anything, aim it at support.precisionmanuals.com.

Sorry Kyle.

Wasn't really aiming all of that at you specifically, though your posts were contributing to the thought process I took aim at.
