All in real time, in singles and light twins and in real weather (FSMeteo).Today I am on my 150th leg (all around 1-2 hours) and about to enter my 6th continent. Where possible, I use navigation via navaids, printing out a flight plan (FSNav) and refrain from using the GPS where possible. I am now half way home and hope to get back in a year or so around the time for the launch of the next version of FS.I have purchased most of Justin Tymes elevation data for the areas I have visited and will do so for the rest. Some of the sights are truely amazing especially during the different parts of the day. Some of the sights I have encountered include, the Panama Canal, Amazon river, Mt Fuji, the large mountains in Washington State, Grenland and Iceland, bad weather over the Aleutians and Kamchaka Penn. the Swiss alps and many more. Lots to come as well.Give it a try sometime, It sure rekindeled my simming passion. CheersChris Porter:-outtaPerthWestern Australia

Like Allcot said - leave it, it'll be there when you get back.I've dropped it altogether on a couple of occasions and by the time I got back to it, it was twice as good as it was before.I'm currently trying to avoid it, as I too need a break. But I can't stop thinking about my F1 Piper Meridian!! ;-) Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

Just leave FS2004 alone & forget about it.In time you will jump back in with renewed enthusiasm!I speak from experience - I went off simming for 2 years...and then one day I woke up and sorely missed it...and the experience of virtual flying again was awesome! In the meantime get a good FPS and run around butchering aliens :)

First, everyone gets bored every now and again and needs a rest .. no issue with that ... stay away for a bit ... it's more fun when you come back. Here's what I do:1. Read the forums daily2. I am on the last leg of my 3rd round the world tour, waiting to do a flight from LPPT to EDDF ... this was a year and a half ... 97 legs, every continent except the US ... over 85000 miles flown. Medium and big jets.3. I am 40 legs into a North America counterclockwise trip in GA and Regionals ... starting at Norwood Airport (KOWD) and presently in Vancouver.4. I tried out a VA ... Globe Cargo ... long long flights ... RFP 747-200 freighter .. fun .. challenging to keep up with obligations.5. Buy a new plane every now and then and learn all the details.Someday I'll try the Vatsim or IVAO thing ... I have a friend in Portland, OR who tells me it's very awesome. Most of my flights I fly with real weather (AS4), ATC with RC-3 ... and for Commercials ... FDC and detail flight planning with FSBUILD.This is a great hobby!!!Cheers and Good Luck!!

I agree with Allcott. Leave it. Do something else for awhile. You will be back. True simmers can never completely give it up; it gets in your soul. I go through similar cycles. RH

Hey guys,Wow, Im amazed how helpful you guys are, I think I might get the Piper Meridian by Flight1 along with some scenery and have some fun with it. The thing is that I haven't flown in months, so im sure that taking another long break will not do it. Again, thanks a lot!

Too true! For me, the best way to get "back to business" quickly is a trip to our local international airport. The nearer the airport comes, the more the "airplane virus" gets a firm grip on me. Can hardly wait to sim again after that...Andreas
