June 5, 200521 yr Hello Fellow Flight Simmers, I Own the PMDG C Twin and the ATR 72-500.I have got the bug and am wanting to purchase a couple other of planes.I was wanting to know if anyone out there owns the Conquest twin on flight 1 and if it is similar to the detail of the ATR 72-500?Also I am on the search for a executive style jet that is payware also that is detailed similar to the ATR..Looking for a style similar to a lear that has got some get up and go.Looking for something as real as we can get em... I fly with settings real as possible. And would like to keep it that way especially if I am gonna pay for it..Can anyone offer me some knowledge? Thanks Again,
June 5, 200521 yr Author When you say "as detailed as the ATR", do you mean flight dynamics, panel realism, visual model, or something else? Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
June 5, 200521 yr I was wondering as far as flight dynamics, and panel realism..I am getting pretty curious of the Twin engine Conquest II on flight one..Wondering about that really in particular...Shoot decisions decisions... (GRIN)..Really looking for a get up and go business jet also with realistic flight characteristics and nice panel realism..Shoot Fire guess I am gonna have to try out that Conquest II...Seems like it can get up and move... Thanks,
June 5, 200521 yr Author The Conquest is a very nice aircraft, one of my favorite add-ons easily. However, it is not going to have the same fidelity as the ATR (for obvious reasons). If you want something that matches or may even exceed the ATR in fidelity I have heard a lot of good things about the LDS 767.Personally, I'm not a fan of jetliners at all. Flying at FL370 24/7 isn' my idea of fun which is why I have stayed away from the LDS 767. That is just how I feel, a LOT of people love the LDS add-on and from what I hear it is probably one of the best FS add-ons ever produced. If jetliners are your thing, another option would be the PMDG 737 series. You get quite a few models, a great sound package, great flight dynamics, a great VC, and a very high fidelity panel. If you are not into high flyers and are more into the turboprop side of flying I would also recommend the Flight1 PC-12. I have it and LOVE it. In fact, it unseated the Conquest as my favorite FS turboprop/prop. The Conquest is still holds a special place in my heart but the PC-12 is what I am now spending almost all of my flying time in. Also, IIRC, I don't think the entire Conquest VC is clickable as it is a slightly older add-on ("older" being used loosely).Hope this helps a little bit!:) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
June 5, 200521 yr My impression is that he is looking for a light business jet the size of a Lear but with the quality of the ATR.The 737 or 767 hardly fit that category although they are the leaders in the reality stakes. There are no "reality" light business jets comparable to the PMDG 737 or Level D 767.The Feel there PIC ERJ-145 probably comes closest but again too large for what he is looking for.As for another TurboProp? in my book the AeroWorx Super Kingair is the only extreme reality aircraft around although now slightly dated and in need of a refit :-)Peter
June 5, 200521 yr Yeah a Light Business jet with the quality of the ATR would be great!!!I am not too much into the heavies unless it is a turbo prop...I just purchased the Conquest nice little addition... That PC-12 sounds interesting...Have any of you all heard of Real Air or something like that... I guess the planes designed there are able to do spins hammer heads etc..Now to me that is real flight characteristics...My uncle is a private pilot... And several years back he introduced me to a spin... Now talk about if you don't keep a level head in a situation like that your ripping the wings off the plane or gonna end up a lawn dart fast..Yeah The company is called Real Air... I wish I could find a twin turbo prop with the same flight characteristics... Now that would be the ultimate...Just hanging out here looking and tapping at some gents who have been there done that or are there doing that.. Gents Thanks For Sharing The knowledge,
June 5, 200521 yr If you want a fun plane to take for some VFR, IFR, or aerobatics, the RealAir SF-260 Marchetti is the plane for sure. No twins from RealAir, however.www.realairsimulations.com Bert
June 5, 200521 yr Nothing comes close to the quality of flight1 ATR-500 VC mode so far IMO..... unless you go the GA route.. then you have Realair. If the F1 ATR-500 is now your standard.. WOW.. thats hard to beat man.. you might be disappointed with everything else for the most part.:) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

WOW.. thats hard to>beat man.. you might be disappointed with everything else for>the most part.>>:)>>The problem with the RealAir SF260 (when compared to some other aircraft) is that there isn't much to the VC. You have your basic gauges and whatnot so it is pretty simple. The VC is fantastic no doubt, but there just isn't much to it as far as complexity goes. Nothing wrong with that as it is not supposed to fill that niche anyways. I really enjoy the SF260, but If complexity is important to the original poster it just won't fill the bill.
