February 28, 201511 yr Hi all, just about to enter into the world of RC and was wondering if the best place to export the Flight Plan from was PFPX or EFB or doesn't it matter? February 28, 201511 yr It also depends on the aircraft you fly if it has its own FMC/FMS terminal procedures database and if so it can be made to sync the FS format plan (loaded into RC) with the aircraft terminal procedure database. If both your aircraft and your planner are AIRAC updatable either through Navigraph.com or Aerosoft's Navdata Pro products at least a one-off subscription (fee covers multiple formats) that would sync your AIRAC data among your planners. For runway dependent DP-SIDs and STARs you also also should be able to edit the plan so the one exported to RC has just common waypoints to all runways so your nav instrument database can be used for the runway specific waypoints. This applies to RC's dynamic runway assignments due to ai pattern priority and weather. The plans I import into my nav instruments (FMC type) also just have the common waypoints in them if I choose not to use the internal terminal procedures or do use them. Here is I paper I wrote that covers a lot of this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/owuz7p2ohx7y7st/fsb%20tips%20and%20update.pdf?dl=0 See if PFPX or EFB support any of these functions.
March 1, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the info guy's. I should have been more specific with my set-up really. I fly the PMDG/Areosoft Airbus/Majestic Dash 8 tube liners and I have current Airacs from Navdata. Once I've waded through the RC manual I'll take a look at your document Ron.
