March 13, 201511 yr Many steps required to install this NOAA app .. not just a plugin move .. I will have to study the multiple downloads and their install instructions.... Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 13, 201511 yr Author Ah it's simple. During Net install select Python 64 bit. and NOAA / Ground Services and you are done. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
March 13, 201511 yr Well, I screwed something up on my installation. I first used the zip file download and it didn't work (the readme file was not clear when it said to unzip the contents of "the folder" ... - didn't say which folder and there were several layers. Then I ran the NetInstaller and it installed Ground Services and Joy Map just fine, but NOAA still doesn't show up in the plug-in menu, so something is messed up. Everything else works just fine including the other plug-ins installed with NOAA. I have an e-mail request in to them with details. I just need to know what to uninstall and try again, or what to rearrange in the folders to get it to work. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1
March 13, 201511 yr ** Zul B ********* FSrealWx developer gave me a reply: "Avoid a double assignment of the "L" key.See Xplane Menu Plugin Hotkey and assign new key." I told him I am new to Xplane .. I do not recall setting up a key ... Do you know about this? Like, I do not even know where this "Xplane Menu Plugin Hotkey" is located?? ***** MDavis **** "Well, I screwed something up on my installation." I seen the install instruction s and well .. stopped right there ... I am not a programmer ......... When you find out the correct 1,2,3 steps / folders etc please let me know. Then I will try to get it going ... Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 13, 201511 yr @vonmar What HumptyDumpty said: If I had it to do all over again, I'd just download the NetInstallerPythonInterface from the link listed and run that. It will automatically install all the stuff you need - the right version of Python, the Barbour interface and all the plug-ins. You don't need to know anything and if there is something you don't want (like one of the plug-ins) you can uncheck it. Should be simple and foolproof. My problem was that I had already installed a lot of that stuff for other plug-ins before and tried to do a manual install of NOAA which hasn't worked. I did just re-run the NetInstaller and it has fixed things. I think I had the 32-bit Python installed rather than the 64-bit - anyway it works now. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1

Now, do I need to install the other download called XplaneNoaaWeather-master ............. Or An I ok without it? I has one folder called noaweather with a bunch of xxx.py files inside it and One file outside that folder named PI_noaaWeather.py Maybe that stuff is the plugin ..?? ****************** Just for info: I asked the FSRealWx developer: One question. Why after removing your plugin is all ok. No L key problem then. Also: where is this in Xplane 10-31? Xplane Menu Plugin Hotkey and assign new key. I cannot find it. So far no reply. **** Currently I have these two folders in my Plugins folder: PythonInterface PythonScripts Is that all I need? or is there a NOAA plugin neededin there also? ** I looked inside the PythonScripts folder and found a noaa weather folder ... so may have all the files I need now?
