June 17, 200520 yr Searching for UK2000 and Heathrow Pro should come up with some resultsCheersDan:-)
June 18, 200520 yr Is this what you are looking for?http://www.s114327879.websitehome.co.uk/he...screenshots.htmYes, Gary has upgaded Heathrow Pro.Regards,Carl Carl PC AMD Ryzen R7-5700G (8-Core) processor), AMD Radeon RX 6600 Graphics 8GB/ 2TB HD + 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Win11 _____________________________________________________________________________________
June 18, 200520 yr Heathrow Pro (I have the demo) is really nice! But it is a drag on the framrates!! I suppose PAI traffic aint helping either. It looks awesome!Danielwww.danielmcaloon.tk
June 18, 200520 yr from the UK2000 pro manual"Version 2 has been remade in a different way from V1 which will improve frame rates. The amount of improvement will depend on your graphics card and also bare in mind AI is still the BIGGEST frame rate drain!. If you use no AI and medium settings you can get a 100% improvement (twice as fast)"well duh........I get twice as fast fps if I do that no matter where I am, even SimFlyers LAXUK2000 pro looks great and I really like it, but it's fps killer even with the update.....I get 11-15 there with my AI at 60% and all sliders just left of max.
June 20, 200520 yr Let me jump in here, the issue with a complex large airport of a major city (with significant 3d structures in FS) is that as a whole FS loads it all into view at the same time. This of course means a major drain on resources and an fps reduction. Any scenery of LHR, JFK, LAX or ORD will suffer this unless the design of the airport structures is ultra-efficient or ultra-light. The new CDG appears to have been done well but I think the Paris scenery detail may not be as heavy as some other cities. Of course add AI and it all falls apart.Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
June 20, 200520 yr I dunno, look at KPVD and Rhode Island, it isnt as big as UK2000 pro but it's more efficiant.....so it can be done...
June 20, 200520 yr I do not own the PVD/RI scenery, but the PVD/RI scenery is not in a dense metropolitan area. That was the point I was making. In the dense metro areas the designer has to also take into account the surrounding very dense default scenery so his options are more limited if he wants to balance fps/complexity.Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
June 21, 200520 yr Easy - www.uk2000scenery.comHowever, and no disrespect to Mr Summons, who has kept us UK simmers happy for many years, but I prefer OSS's Gatwick http://www.onlinesimulationsolutions.com/egkk.htm - although if he does ever release Gatwick Pro, I am sure it will be in keeping with his high standards. But I would sell a kidney for a Summons' quality Belfast International, Glasgow and Edinburgh...Rob
