Jaggied shadows in the VC

Featured Replies

Well, I had two pictures queued up that illustrate this phenomenon, but damned if I can post them.

BBC code, HTML codes, nothing - every attempt gives me a "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."" . Anybody got a sure-fire method to post pictures from OZ picture site?

Even with GROUND_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=4096 the shadows will usually still have problems.

I note that horizontal shadow edges usually look far less jagged than vertical shadow edges.

Anyone know if the shadow quality is dependent on the aircraft model itself or the textures the model is using.?

Are you sure you don't mean the other way round (horizontal being left to right)? On every system I've seen running P3d the internal shadows are very jagged in the horizontal plane, while being reasonably sawtooth free in the vertical.
