March 26, 201511 yr Most of my TA in the uk are 6000ft so when i have the TA set for 6000ft in the PERF INIT and my first assigned alt for my SID is 6000ft, my FO then resets my altimiter to STD and this causes my alt to decr or incr making me above or below my alt. Is there a workaround for this? Or can you add in the next update for a voice command to reset the alimiters? Vernon Howells
March 26, 201511 yr Commercial Member Hi Vernon, Your altimeters are coupled. I believe there is an option in the NGX menu to unsync the altimeters. In Reboot, the altimeters are handled totally differently. Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

March 26, 201511 yr Commercial Member Whats happening in the reboot bryan? Also does the FO do any of the preliminary checks ? Hi Vernon, Reboot is quite different from the NGX version you're currently using. We're using a different consultant pilot with different procedures that more closely model the current Boeing way of doing things. The Altimeter Check works the same way it does in the Airbus version. FO says 'transition' and you set your altimeter to standard or local. Then the FO says passing XXXXX altitude...... Now! And then you say 'check'. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 26, 201511 yr Author Sounds like an improvement bryan. Not saying nothing is wrong with this version but an update is always good to improve things and the flying experience That sounds alot better! Vernon Howells
March 26, 201511 yr Author what about something like this... Altimetry Setting Procedures - Pilot Flying and Pilot Monitoring < RYR > Altimeters must be set to airfield QNH for takeoff. When cleared to climb above transition altitude, and the aircraft is above 3000 feet AGL, both pilots will set their altimeters to Standard. The standby altimeter is set to Standard when climbing through MSA. The PF will lead all altimeter changes by calling “SET QNH ___/STD.” Would it work as per above with the new reboot? The PF will call SET QNH ___/STD.? Vernon Howells
