April 9, 201511 yr How many people run two PC's/2 monitors for running ultilities like moving maps, Avliasoft EFB, or other applications while flying? I'm finally thinking about going down this route as dipping into and out of the main sim window is somewhat annoying. I'm not looking to spend a vast amount, but it would be great to have a second monitor to help with aditional functions related to the sim. I was thinking about this. The flight sim in running on the main windows while my addons like EFB and ASN are running on the side panel. You just need one good video card. You don't need an additional PC. I do all this on an GTX970 https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

I use my works laptop (generic HP Intel Core i3 powered laptop) outputting over displayport to a Dell U2412M - I run Aivlasoft EFB on it and it works flawlessly. I got a cheap Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard set so I can operate the efb on the other screen/system without having to even touch the laptop itself, it sits under my desk with the help of a long displayport and network cable so that is completely out of the way. If you only want the second system for the likes of EFB, moving maps etc, just get a second hand low end laptop from ebay and a decent monitor for it to output to if you dont want the small laptop screen. Great, I might consider a cheap laptop and monitor option then. thanks Claude, Gordon eric
