May 1, 201511 yr Something went wrong when I installed 10.35. Most of the default aircraft won't load and I get the error message that there is an "airfoil file" missing. What is the best way to un-install 10.35 and start over? Thank you for your help.
May 1, 201511 yr Run the latest X-Plane installer. It will look for missing files and update as needed. Should be no need to uninstall. Jason E Row Follow me on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/JasonRowPhotography
May 1, 201511 yr Yes, there really isn't anything to "uninstall" other than just removing the folder. That's rather drastic and unnecessary as @yidahoo points out. i7-4790K o/c @ 4.8 GHz, Corsair H-110 liquid cooler, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, MSI Maximus VII Hero mobo Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD Corsair GFX Hydro GTX-1080 8 GB, (2) 4TB hybrid HDs Win 10 (1607), X-Plane 10.51r2 and X-Plane 11.01b1
May 1, 201511 yr Moderator I think you can get away with just your removing the aircrafts folder and running the updater which will reinstall them. However, if worse comes to the worst, just take a copy of your Custom Scenery, Resources/Plugins and Aircraft (Just your addons) folders, reinstall X-Plane, update, and put the folders back in, they'll all hopefully work as before (Except addons requiring activation). I've done this many times when moving between machines and/or losing stuff, and it's always worked. Far quicker than spending a full day reinstalling everything like I once had to do on FSX.
