July 3, 200520 yr Hi!Just got the CS Legendary 707 and really like it. I wanted to fly from LOWW to LFPG via VOR to VOR but I've got one problem - I can`t tune the decimals in the VHF radios. Say I have 110.80 set, I can change the 110 to XXX but I can't change the .80 at all. I've searched the CS homepage and couldn't find any help there, maybe there's someone here, who would be so kind to point me in the right direction :-)Thanks & CheersFred
July 3, 200520 yr I'm sure the very active Capt Sim PR person will step right in with the answer to your question. ;-)Allcott
July 3, 200520 yr Oooohhhh... great. Could you people cut the crap and keep your sarcasm for yourself!? I've read all the threads here regarding CS, I got the picture. I'm not interested in another complaint thread - the are enough of those. How about a constructive answer from someone who uses this particular aircraft? If you can't help, don't answer. Thanks.CheersFredP.S.: No I'm not ######, but the craps been said often enough ;-)

Screw sarcasm, I was simply putting your thread back to the top of the fast-moving forum with something other than `bump`. The fact is, you're going to be SOL with an attitude like that when you seem to know how many of us feel about CS here. So why post in the first place?FWIW, the CS707 has long since left my hard drive, like many other customers, so I can't help you. Others may, but at the end of the day, get the developer to provide the support you paid for, if you can.Allcott
July 3, 200520 yr Moderator Well, while you wait for a resolution to the problem, you can always tune your radios with the keyboard shortcuts. To tune the decimal part:COM1: C C C C + or -COM2: C C C C2 + or - Fr. Bill    AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556    Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
July 3, 200520 yr It's easy right click on the tuning knob and that will change the part after the decimal.Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument |Â Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
July 3, 200520 yr Author "RTFM" :) It's right there..... left click for for Wholes and right click for Decimals.BTW, it's also long gone from my hangar.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
July 4, 200520 yr I did... seems I'm blind... a #####... But see, there are people here who could help - I knew this was the place to ask. Sure, CS user support sucks big time, that's why I posted here in the first place, knowing that alot of people here don't like CS but also figuring there'd be a couple of peeps here who would be able to help.CheersFred
July 4, 200520 yr O.k. so now I've actually done a complete flight from LOWW to LFPG with this bird (AWACS) and I just have to say - other than the missing altitude alert, I find this aircraft to be hard to fly, but extremely fun. You have to think a bit and plan your flight thouroly (sp?) but in the end it pays. I have to agree though, that CS user support is non existant. But thank god there are helpfull people like you guys out here to show a man he's blind ;-))))CheersFred
July 4, 200520 yr Dear Fred,Actually this question is answered in our Technical Support Section here: http://www.captainsim.com/cgi-bin/kb.pl?qid=9. To use Technical Support you should simply be a registered member of our site - it is easy. You can also find 300+ answers to your questions there and also ask a new one.
July 4, 200520 yr Fred,Great! You are tearing CS support to pieces without even trying to use it. This is at least not fair. I have no problems with their support AT ALL!BTW, have you ever tried to read Manuals before? Regards,Stan
July 5, 200520 yr Says who?Upon entering VHF in the search field, the user support produces 0 entries, with the following message "Minimal length of search string is 3". Entering things like "VHF radio tuning", "VHF tuning", "NAV1", "NAV" or "NAV tuning" does not produce the desired answer either. So after trying that and seeing that a direct user support (forum) is non existant (mails take too long), I posted here. Got a problem with that? And yes I looked at the manual and plainly did not see it - guess what the "guess I'm blind" statement in my prvious message was for? I do have humor, so I can laugh over myself beeing to daft too see it... :-)I do try to find a solution at the CS HP prior to posting here, but in this case... a forum on their site has often been requested (see appropriate threads here on AVSIM) and would be of great use for us all, but somehow CS don't seem to think that at all. None the less, I think their 707 is a great aircraft and I like to fly it.CheersFred
July 5, 200520 yr Hi Fred,I have checked their support. Entered "decimals" and received the answer.I also like the 707 and other products from CS I have (all of them), that's why your attitude to them offended me a little :-) And I suppose you have not tried to ask CS a question.Forum would be great but we are talking about support here and I am quite satisfied with it.Have a nice flight :-) Regards,Stan
