July 3, 200520 yr hi alli was just wondering whether high altitude turbulance is modelled in FS? i fly on Vatsim online and sometimes go through some bumps i just wanna confirm if this is modelled or not?rgds. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
July 3, 200520 yr Not very well.I have it added via Active Sky V and the facilities of FSUIPC. ASV includes vertical draft data to earlier versions which were more of a synthesized nature. A recent reply to a query on this reported high altitude bumps on a windy day when flying over mountain ranges at FL330.I do not fly on line so I'm not sure how this would affect you.
July 3, 200520 yr And just to add to this:If you do decide to go with ASV, VATSIM will set your departing and destination weather and ASV will provide you with the weather inbetween, and yes you will get turbulence!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 3, 200520 yr Yes, if you set the weather within MSFS for turbulence, you get turbulence. I've had my plane break up in flight from flying through a thunderstorm . . . just for kicks :)
July 3, 200520 yr hiwhere do i go into flight simulator menus to indicate turbulance on?thx I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
July 4, 200520 yr Weather/AdvancedSet up winds and select amount of turbulence(light, moderate etc.). John
