Editing an Add-On Airport

Featured Replies

Greetings....

Trying to edit an add-on airport to remove unwanted and inaccurate 3d scenery that I think is related to FTX

I have downloaded ADE and find that I cant open up my add-on airport.

I understand that by doing this I could modify the affected area to remove these pesky item that grow in the middle of the taxiways.

Need help since the airport is my hometown International airport that I do my flight training with.. both sim and real...

Thanks!

Might help to know what add-on you are trying to open.

Sure you don't just have a duplicate airport? Use Simple Aiport Scanner to check:

Is the airport at the top layer of your scenery library?

Which addon? Some addons lack a proper airport background, so if it's autogen popping through that might be the problem. In that case the issue is a terrain polygon and you don't need to open the airport BGL to make one. You can make airport background with SBuilderX and add the resulting CVXxxxx.bgl file to your scenery.
