Business Jets http://eaglesoftdg.com/default.htm

Does anyone currently own any of the following business jets from this website?I have alot of planes but I have no business jet add-ons... Looking for something with speed yet can bring her in a fairly short field...Anyone have any add-on suggestions... The Learjet default is not cutting it anymore for me...Would like to get a jet style similar to a buisness jet but for cargo..Looking for realistic flight characteristics that is a #1 pet peeve of mine... Guess that is why I have all the real air's products...Oh and good detail and working guages...If anyone has any suggestions for me please throw them at me... Thanks,

I have the Beechjet 400A which also came with the Premier. I've enjoyed flying it. It's fairly complex and you can get behind it if you're not careful. But I think it's a little easier than some of the big airliners. Most people here have raved about the Citation X so I'm sure it's great, I just haven't had any experience with it.I don't think you'll be sorry with any of the Eaglesoft jets.Jim

I have been using my Eaglesoft Citation II and Hawker a lot lately. With the RXP gauges, they are an unbeatable team. The Hawker is fast, but takes a little more runway, while the CII isn't quite so fast, but can get into and out of smaller places. They said they are coming out with a new, improved Beech 400 down the road a bit. I'll be sure to check that one out. The old one, which is just like the Hawker in different clothes, is no slouch. You won't regret buying an Eaglesoft plane.

Josh, it may interest you to know that Rob Young, creator of Real Air flight dynamics is also the man who created all of our flight dynamics:-)

You're welcome Josh:-)And thanks to Armstrang and Jim for their kind words:-)

I have the ESDG Citation X, and have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. It's received some criticism because its FMC is not fully functional, but as a guy that has not flown much "big iron" at all, and who is much more familiar with the avionics of smaller GA aircraft, I find it to be very well done. The PFD and MFD (FMC functionality notwithstanding) are worlds away from the very basic flight displays of the stock Learjet. Also, although I am not typically drawn in by eye candy, I have to admit to exploring the main cabin of the CX using Active Camera more than once. (That gal in the back still won't talk to me though, even after those two glasses of wine that she typically has.)I hadn't flown the CX recently until last night, but fired it up to check on something (unrelated to this thread) and I was reminded at what a great effort it is. I typically fly it with the autopilot most of the time but it's fun to hand-fly too. When I first got the airplane, I flew it to Hawaii, chasing the setting sun. That was a LOT of fun and flying at Angels 40 to 50 is something I haven't done much other than in the CX. Getting a ground speed of 500+ knots is fun! It's the only bizjet payware that I have, but I think it's the one to get if you only have the budget for one add-on bizjet. Dave Blevins

I got the Citation X a few days back. Its a great aircraft and handles very well. It looks good also and is fairly easy to master (although I still cant figure out why I get an alarm on take off)The only dissapointing thing is that there is no VNAV or LNAV and the FMC is pretty useless. However, if you use something like FSNAV it enables you to have a better AP system. Having said that what I have enjoyed about not having a Fully functional FMC is that it is forcing me to land aircraft manually for the full approach, some I personally did not used to do.Its a great aircraft. if only more time had been put into the FMC I could see Eaglesoft's products being snapped up by alot more simmers.

Lee, the alarm solution is in the manual and the top thread in our CX support forum :-)

I have their Citation II/SP, Citation CJ1+, and Citation X. If you're looking for shorter-field planes, the II/SP and CJ1+ are both good choices. Neither is particularly fast (.65-.68M) or long-ranged (around 1200-1500 nm) but they are fun to fly, great FDEs and will go in and out of fairly short fields. The II/SP has an analog panel and the CJ1+ has a glass panel. The Citation X is a whole different animal, it can cruise at .85-.90M well over FL450 with transcontinental range (3000+ nm).The II/SP is a favorite of mine because I like "steam gauges". It's a wonderful hand-flyer. If you are thinking cargo, it's probably your best bet because the CJ1+ is pretty small (four passengers) and the X is way way too fancy to be a cargo dog. :) In fact, I think the II/SP and its Cessna siblings get used as medevac planes quite often because of their load and short-field capabilities, and the Eaglesoft II/SP has an air ambulance model complete with virtual interior.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia

The stock SN3308 gauge in the CII puts it at the head of the Steam Gauge Class. There are some choices for more capable versions of that gauge that give the CII a glass panel capability for that one function.

Looking for the soloution right now. I may add, even though the FMC still leaves alot to be desired I have not put the aircraft down since I bought it :)Its great

Just to add to those giving the thumbs up to the Citation II. It's the only Eaglesoft I have, but I love it. This is the one to get if you like "steam guages" as someone above pointed out!
