Product Updates with Expired Downloads

Some websites place limits on how long you can download the addons you've purchased. What do you do if the product is updated after your download expires? (for both products with keys and products without [for keyless, an example would be FS2Crew])

Most developers usually reset the limit, when they put out an update. If not you probably will have to put in a support ticket.

You would contact the vendor and ask him to reset your account accordingly.

Sometimes the publisher and/or the developer provide an alternative for your update (like the updates database from Aerosoft, where your serial key serves as a proof of purchase).

What happened to AVSIM

I have always been able to download from FS2Crew with no problems, as well as Simmarket, Wilco, JustFlight, Flight1, FSD, and now PMDG. In general, I can't think of a site where I've had issues except in cases where they've gone out of business. Where are you having issues?
