July 9, 201510 yr This problem just randomly popped up today, and I haven't really installed anything notable lately that might have caused it. My elevator cannot be smoothly controlled. If I pull slightly back, it just goes straight to full aft, and vice versa. Aileron control is fine. At first I thought it might have been a calibration issue with the Saitek yoke, but the problem persists even with my Logitech joystick. I've tried recalibrating my controls, to no avail. It's pretty strange, for example in the Aerosoft Airbus, when moving the controls on the ground, the sidestick animation moves smoothly with my phyiscal movement of the stick; on the actual flight controls page on the ECAM, though, the elevator just jumps between full aft and full forward. This happens on every aircraft I've tried.
July 10, 201510 yr Sorry for the bump, but any ideas? Sim is unflyable 'til it's fixed. :\Hi Michael, the only thing I can suggest is check the controls section in p3d for duplicate entries, that's for all joystick and other devices. For some reason I find although I have mine through fsuipc4 it will put a duplicate entry in for instance in my cessna trim wheel. So click on each device in turn and scroll down and check for any entries other than keyboard and buttons. bob P's you could also check your fsuipc4 config file to see if that looks ok.
July 10, 201510 yr Author I've got no conflicts with keyboard controls. What should I be looking for in the FSUIPC4 config file? I've never examined it.
July 10, 201510 yr Author Okay, so I investigated FSUIPC...I removed the FSUIPC.dll file from the modules folder, and then ran FSX...and apparently that was the problem! FSUIPC was doing something, somehow. But I don't use FSUIPC for mapping controls. Hmm.
July 10, 201510 yr Author All is good now. Apparently my elevator axis was calibrated improperly in FSUIPC settings.
