July 16, 201510 yr Some payware airports don't have wet looking runways because they use FS2002 ground polys which don't have reflective materials. If you make ground polys with FSX materials they can turn on reflections when its raining but ground polys with FSX materials will flicker. One workaround some devs use is to make the ground poly partially transparent and put default FSX runway underneath so that the reflections can show through the ground poly. AFAIK P3D has fixed the flickering bug so devs don't have to build their scenery with ancient SDK tools. Barry Friedman
