Hey Jason,Nope didnt take it as you are laughing at me(Which wouldnt bother me because I laugh at myself when it comes to my PC LOL).Just like you I have been bitten by the bug hence play flight sim on a low end computer LOL . I cannot spend too much on my PC because again like you I have spent a fortune on flying for real. I am commercially licenced with night float and multi IFR rated, as you can see I have spent quite a bit on the real thing(well quite a lot actually LOL)I think I will look into a video card and go from there. Im hoping it helps even just a little bit.I also think that Im sold to activesky( when my high speed kicks back in). It looks like such an amazing program. Its funny because a while back I was wondering why people would pay for an add-on that was based around weather, Now I see that the default weather is horrible and active sky looks like it improves it so much. Cant wait to give it a go.Fly Lots, Fly High, Fly Safe.GerryP.S Thanks alot Jim for you help as well as everyone else

Hi Gerry I am really glad I didn't laugh at you because I'd be too embarrased to be laughing at myself right now. Uh...let's look at all your licenses here...oh, wait a minute, you don't have ATP and rotary wing? Now what's up with that? :) Why did I think I needed to tell you about the aviation bug. I might be bitten badly but you've been eaten alive. :)Now back to the topic. You said you realized the default weather is bad. I think the truth is in FS pretty much anything default is bad (or not good enough let's say), talking about weather, ATC, aircraft, mesh, landclass... FS is a GREAT platform and that's about it. Please take a look at this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=207289&page=2Many are happy only when their FS looks like that plus a yoke and pedals. As you read on you can see he's got a lot of non-aircraft addons in there and they all contribute to the fantastic look. Now I have a spare video card. It's a ATI9500Pro with 128MB. If you want to test how much an improvement you may have by adding a v.card to your particular machine, you are welcome to borrow mine to do some testing before you actually spend the money to buy one.Where are you located if you don't mind my asking. I am a private pilot who live and fly in upstate New York.Best,Jason

Jim,Ya I will definetly let you know how it runs when I download it, Just to give you an idea in case someone with a crappy(lol) set up like me asks. I will be getting it on the weekend and trying it out on the weekend(Cant wait).Jason,Ya Im lacking the ATPL and rotary wing, But in total honesty(this is no hit on rotary wing pilots just my preference) I could do without the rotary wing, never liked helicopters, never appealed to me. But mark my word, One day the ATPL will be mine. Thanks for the offer about the vid card but you are a little far away, Im from Ontario Canada( Your not really that far but a little out of reach to try the vid card LOL). How long you been flying for?GerryP.S If my sim looked like the one on the link you gave me, I could have saved a good 50 G's LOL. Those are amazing pics, They look so real, Unbeleivable.
