Just download the North America part 1 ( tried a couple of times ) and it appears to complete with the correct file size but when I try to extract with 7zip it dos'nt show the scenery files to be extracted, it shows the download zip file,

 

any suggestions to what's happening.

That's interesting and not the first report of when that happens. Can you further open that .zip file in 7-ZIP? Are you using the 7-ZIP beta or 7-ZIP 9.20 stable?

The ver I have has worked before on the European download, but I check to see which ver of 7-Zip I have

Have found the problem Daniel, two things :-

1) I had jZip installed ( although this has worked before I have now installed 7-Zip ver 9.20 )

2) I hadn't downloaded the second part of North America.

the scenery folder has now been extracted and I will have ago tonight to add to P3d.

Thanks for the links, download went ok and installed into P3D.

Remarkable difference in the scenery to South America, had a great flight this morning through the mountains in Peru.
