June 11, 20169 yr One ambulance flight has been made, so the airport is technically operational - just not for jets. John I'm not sure if windshear distinguishes between prop and jet a/c!! Dijvid
June 13, 20169 yr I'm not knowledgable enough to answer that, Dijvid, but all I have seen written is that only jets are limited from landing there. Yet it would seem the ambulance flight was actually a jet - a Dassault Falcon. So perhaps we should be saying "commercial jets". June 13, 20169 yr I should have thought about that, John! I was assuming that because a B200 arrived from Angola to do the calibration then the medic flight was also a prop. I wonder if they will start a flying club there? Box up a few C172s and re-assemble them at the airport. They would probably get fed up before too long as there wouldn't be anywhere for them to go really!! Dijvid
