Phenom Autopilot

Featured Replies

Is it only me or do the Carenado Phenom 300 climbs really slow above FL300?

The real planes, climbs from ground to FL450 in just 25-30 minutes..I used 1h 10 minutes from Ground to FL450..

Is this anything that can be fixed that it climbs faster just like the real plane?

All of the ones I have seen climbs to FL450 in 25-30 minutes..even with heavy weight...

That is quite impressive as well, but the Carenado Phenom 300 do not climb that fast for sure..

So how can I eventually fix this?

The 'fix' is most probably to use to correct climb speed (225/.60)  and to keep N1 at the MCT limit (100%)

edit: just tested at MTOW. S.L. to FL450 25-26min

Ahhhh!

Have used Climb 280 so thats why...

Will try that on my next leg!

So 225 knots, full 100% MAX and FLC? That fixes it? :)

Thank you! :)

280kias at FL450 is exactly M1.0. That's why it doesn't work ;)

As mentioned by many other RW pilots, FLC is being used only on few aircraft because it tends to hunt and is uncomfortable for the passengers (and pilots).  v/s results in a much more stable climb (IRL and in the sim), but yes, 220/.6 and 100% will result in a realistic climb.
