Updating 737NGX - Not Sure

Featured Replies

I have the Aerosoft boxed version of PMDG 737NGX (v1.00.3219) and have downloaded the file from the Aerosoft support website which is, what I believe to be, the update (v1.10.6461).

Do I just install it (over the top of the existing version) or do I need to delete/uninstall the current version first?

Will I need to reinstall my liveries for the NGX, or will they be picked up within the PMDG Control Centre.

Thanks for any help and comments.

Regards,

Guy Burton

Some are able to install the update on top of existing installation but many have problems with this.  Best bet is to remove existing using Windows Control Panel then install the new version. It is a complete install that includes all updates.  The only other deletes you might have to do are the panel states file if you are updating from the earliest released versions. These are in \PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState folder. The new install will put new default panel states there for you.

The PMDG Operations Center will look for previousely installed liveries.  There is a manual included for the OC if you have problems gettting all the liveries to help you with that task.

Run the OC and check your version, it will advise you if you have the current or updates are available from here on out.

Uninstall first, and then reinstall.
