I don't know about anyone else but the last few days should be wake up call for those of you that constantly complain. I sorely missed the information provided by these forums..Now think of what it would be like to not only lose the forums here but the free downloads also. Where would you go? Show me any other forum where you are given as much latitude as you are given here. There has to be alot of tongue biting going on from the Staff here and because of this we get the best mix of honest opinions that can be found. I urge you to thank AVSIM with your voice and your wallet. If everyone here donated just a dollar or two. Lets see with twenty thousand plus members that would amount to a real nice server.Obviously that is not going to happen but at least consider it.RegardsWag

Complacency is a very easy trap to fall into, especially when you start to rely on a free service for communication. Most people are understanding, but there will always be some (people that have an "entitlement" mentality) who will expect that a service is available 24/7, regardless of if they pay for it or not. It's not just AVSIM, it's a common trait among some people. Just goes with the territory unfortunately.I for one am appreciative of all y'alls' efforts... I run my own web site at home (small-time, just family and friends), and have been doing software for the last 15 years or so, so I definitely understand the time and skill required to fix problems.

Someone once said you don't design airline capacity for Thanksgiving traffic. Would be exteremly wasteful and expensive. The same applies to internet/server bandwidth. I can't comprehend why everyone wants to get the product the moment it is realesed and expects smooth delivery.
