August 15, 200520 yr The important thing here is that ALL textures be the same format. You just can't mix 32 bit, DXT1, DXT3 textures together. ALL AI will need to be converted to one format. This was the cause of the "Blurries" in the FREEflow Ultimate Florida scenery. Except that the FFFL it was AI ships.Joe W. August 15, 200520 yr That really isn't true. I've had a mix of all formats and there is no effect on sharpness, other than non-mipped textures retaining sharpness no matter what the distance, which really doesn't look realistic. Todd

August 15, 200520 yr Thankyou for the reply,Still no luck. This is the path to my working folder,"C:Documents and SettingsJames DriscollMy DocumentsDownloadsCF9AC Texture Conversion KitWorking Folder",my image tool is in the same folder.
August 16, 200520 yr No, that really is true - YOU might not have a problem, but it's best to avoid them but not mixing and matching. ALL GMax objects should have DXT1 or 3 +mips to avoid texture blurring. ALL textures on the same model (aircraft) should be the same format. Rules may be less rigid with non-gmax models, and terrain. August 16, 200520 yr Okay, I guess I need to clarify. I try to avoid 32bit like the plague, but a few have slipped in here and there, without any adverse blurring effects. I only use DXT1 with mips now, but keep lightmaps at DXT3 because of the necessary alpha channel. The only real problem I've had with blurries is with AI models that have more than 1 texture file. But that is on MY rig. YOUR experience may vary.Todd
