How can I post a picture on the FSX Forums?

Featured Replies

Hello:

Can someone teach me how to post a picture on the FSX forum?  I used to be able to attach a picture, but I cannot do it any longer.  Every time I hit the picture icon on the tool bar, it only gives me the option to attach a URL.  Is there no longer a way to attach a .jpg to my posts?  I read the help section, but I don't seem to have the required tools that they reference on the Forum Help files.  Sorry... I am sure it must be extremely easy to do this... I just can't seem to figure it out...

Thanks,

Chris Catalano

Our guidance starts is the pinned topic in the Screenshot Forum on how to embed an image in a post.  Look at the following link, especially my posts at 8 and 10 - http://www.avsim.com/topic/441765-posting-images-in-avsim-forums-how-to/

We no longer allow attachments.  Too much risk from evil people who want to include malware with it plus it saves space on our server and it is the latest and greatest procedure on most Internet forums.

After trying a couple of alternatives and looking at other's posts, I settled on Photobucket.com.  They have a simple tool to copy a direct link to an actual file.  It looks like services like Dropbox and Onedrive generate secure links, and those don't seem to work very well when trying to embed into posts.
