September 19, 201510 yr Hi I am posting this issue here to see if anyone else has had the problem. I purchased the P31 for P3D about a month ago. Installed it and everything worked fine. It's a very good a/c - one of Carenado's best in my opinion - and I was very happy with it. Then I decided to install P3Dv2.5, and noted the recommendations to do a clean install. So I deleted P3D2.4, including all addons, installed v2.5 ,and then set about re-installing my addon sceneries and a/c. Everything worked fine until I got to the Carenado P31. When I tried to install it and used the key previously provided by Carenado, I received an automatic message indicating that the key was invalid. I tried another Carenado a/c I own, and it installed OK. I contacted Carenado, told them the problem, and asked for a valid key. They said the key was valid and suggested that I check for errors in copying and pasting the key. I did so and verified it was ok. Tried to install and same result: invalid key. I contacted Carenado again, and they sent me an email with a "valid" key. But it was the same key as before, so I thought maybe they have changed their system to ensure that it recognized the key. Tried to install it, same result: invalid key. In all I have tried to install a good half dozen times. I contacted Carenado again and suggested that since it was THEIR SYSTEM that was rejecting the key, perhaps they needed to send me a new key that they knew worked. Have waited nearly a week and they have not responded. Sorry for the long topic, but has anyone else experienced similar problems with Carenado re-installations, and if you have, have you been able to resolve it with Carenado? October 10, 201510 yr Possibly your internet security or anti-virus software is blocking the installation. I have problems with Norton blocking Carenado. Disconnect from the internet and turn off the virus software to install, then back on to register the key. Don Nelson
October 30, 201510 yr Author Just to get closure on this. Tried your suggestion and many others in support exchanges with Carenado. They claimed the problem was something with my PC and the internet connection with Carenado to validate the key. But nothing they asked me to do worked, It seems that the key was no longer valid, and I asked them to generate a new key and send it to me. They didn't seem to want to do this. Anyway, they did give me free another Carenado a/c of my choice. I chose the Seneca V. I downloaded it and, of course, had to validate the key in the same internet process that had not worked with the Navajo. And IT WORKED. Thus there was no problem with my PC. November 9, 201510 yr Author One final note. I was incorrect when I said I had turned off my firewall. When I checked again I saw it was on. When I turned it off I was able to install the Navajo. It wasn't Carenado's issue after all.
