I have selected some programs to 'stop & restart' in my 'FS9' profile, these programs have systray icons, but when I shut down FS9 the icons do not reappear, have I done something wrong?TIA

Gretings Vulcan!Sorry for the obvious question but are you closing AutoStart after it's launched FS9? It should be minimised until you exit FS9 at which point it will restore your programs and services to their original state.Cheers,

I suggest you use tool tips. Click the TOOLS heading and select Program Options, then select enable tool tips. Then when you scroll over a service it will tell you what to turn off. The same thing happened to me, but I forgot what service causes this. Just take the advice of the tool tips function.Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard1.0 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 40 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

Alternatively, just set AutoStart to "Stop" those things you don't want, and then to "Pause" & then "Reboot" on exit. That way you can stop FS if you want and then restart it without having to run through AutoStart again - e.g. to pick up new scenary areas or to resume after a CTDIf you do this, you will also have to restart any programs such as Activesky which Autostart also kicks-off for you, but that's no big problem. When you do end AutoStart, it will reboot your computer, which in my experience is just as quick as allowing it to to "Stop & Restart" on all the individual Services & Programs. The important point to note is, Autostart doesn't make permanent changes, only temporary ones for the duration of the FS session. So a reboot will put your system right back in its original condition, you don't have to worry about restarting all the individual bits if you don't want to.

Thanks for the advice guys. Like all good computers this one has made me out to be a liar :-roll I started FSAutostart so that I could answer specific points in your replies, then started my FS profile, left FS running for a couple of minutes then closed it.FSAutostart continued its batch file restoring all the services and programs I had told it to stop & restart and the systray icons reappeared -go figure!Sorry for wasting your time.

I have noticed a program called WINMGT that starts with FS9. Since deactivating it either by "end task" or with FSautostart, I have seen no ill results. I have been totally offline so far. Any use for this program? Is WINMGT needed for real weather thru MS, teamspeak or multiplayer? Best Regards, Donny:-wave

From a search on Google WINMGT is a SGF editor so must have been installed seperate from FS and should have nothing to do with FS.

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Thanx. It doesn't come up on a boot, but I seem to always notice it up after entering FS9. At least I did till I nixed it with FSAutostart, good to know there will be no consequences.Best Regards, Donny:-wave
